There have been so many news during the last days that we decided to
publish a second newsletter after few days. This is it:
1. GOTAN PROJECT - LA REVANCHA DEL TANGO LIVE (DVD)
When Gotan Project released their CD with the same name in 2001,
nobody had an idea what would follow and that a new genre, the
TANGO-ELECTRONIC would originate from it. This DVD with live
tracks from the Tour 2003 can be considered an almost historic event.
There is film material from the concert in the FORUM, London, and also
studio recordings, tour clips and videos on this time document. The format
is NTSC (all regions) with a total recording time of 90min.

2. Travel: Tango in Italy 2006
We have made it! Our Tango programme for the year 2006 with our
partners in Italy is ready. Also this year, most groups were booked out. So
you should better book in time in order not to end up on the waiting list.
The dance classes take place in a beautiful scenery in Umbria. The teachers
are from different areas of the tango world. This time, there are Yvonne
Meissner & Eduardo Aguirre, Brigitta Winkler, Steve & Debbie Morrall,
Los Hermanos Macana, Wolfgang Sandt, Ines Moussavi & Ulrich
Demmel, Fabian Salas & Carolina del Rivero. For more information on the

Tango in Italy
3. Salsa: New CD by Grupo Niche - ALIVE
Finally a sign of life of the great Colombian heroes of Salsa. This is NOT –
as the title might suggest – a LIVE CD, but a new studio recording! The
leader of the band JAIRO VARELO has created top class songs again.
When the vibraphone suddenly appears in the middle part of “Cocomania”,
it becomes evident that Grupo Niche is back in top form and with a lot of
enthusiasm.

4. Brazil: New Tropicalia CD
A musical – and also political – time document of vibrating Brazil is
presented with this CD. At the end of the 60s a student movement
supported by musicians like CAETANO VELOSO; GILBERTO GIL;
TOM ZE came into life: TROPICALIA.
The peak time of this mixture between British Rock-Psychedelic music
and Brazilian Bossa Nova ended in 1969, after only one year. Still, the
movement has a great influence on contemporary pop music, even
nowadays. The detailed booklet including photos and text documentation
makes this CD a must-have for every listener interested in music.
