"Experience Argentina" - the Group Tour from 18.09. to 02.10.2010
Tango, yoga and enjoying life in Buenos Aires with a German-Italian tourguide!
Incl. Excursion to the Iguazu waterfalls at the Brazilian border
To dance the tango at its birthplace is already enough of a reason to treat yourself to such a trip. Practicing tango for two weeks with exceptional Argentine teachers in a relaxed atmosphere is definitely another reason. The Tango-Oasis, located in the middle of the city, was specially selected by us and offers the best environment for dance and lodging. Yoga and relaxation exercises, in connection with dance, help develop awareness of yourself and your partner. You can also come alone and dance with different partners at your level during the lesson. You'll definitely get to know something about life in Buenos Aires - and beyond in a three-day excursion to the Iguazu waterfalls!
Tango is the main focus of this trip and tango is more than just a sensuous dance. Learning to dance the tango means more than perfectly mastering a particular number of step sequences and "adornos"...To dance the tango with feeling is an intense dance experience and an all-embracing enrichment for your life.
We will live and dance together for these two weeks in a special guesthouse, whose reason for being is the tango. Tangueros are coming and going and the atmosphere itself is tango.
Our day begins with yoga and the focus lies on the flexibility and suppleness of body and mind necessary for dancing. This training helps you to become anchored in your own axis. After that we enjoy breakfast together.
The tango lessons are offered daily with different teachers within the guesthouse and take place mostly in the evenings. In addition, you will dance at one of the city's renowned tango schools, according to your level. Here, you have the choice between a classical or modern school.
On four afternoons, you have the chance to become more conscious of your body through relaxation training. At the same time, you will discover elements that will not only help you with dancing but also with your everyday life.
The daily schedule is varied and multifaceted. There is enough time outside of the lessons to tour around the city, alone or in a small group - and there is definitely a lot to discover! We can also gladly give you some tips for special wishes or interests.
Buenos Aires offers a variety of opportunities to go dancing. The spectrum includes traditional locations, cultural centers and underground venues in old factories. The dance event itself is called "milonga", like the type of tango music. You'll get to know a few of these "milongas"...
Included in this group tour is a meeting on one of the first evenings with a tango scout, who will tell us about the current tango scene and answer questions about tango in Buenos aires. In the second week, part of the programm will be to enjoy a typical asado, an Argentine mixed-grill with lots of meat, fish and vegetables.
In the days before our departure, we will travel together to the Iguazu waterfalls, at the Brazilian border. You can find out more about this part of the trip here: here.
