My particular recommendation for the starting point into Latin America is this microcosm, where the equator first passes the jungle, then the snow and then slides down to the white beaches of the Pacific coast. In this small space, Ecuador shows a diversity of landscapes with a (still) immeasurable opulence of flora and fauna.
At an altitude of approximately 3000m in the Andes, the capital Quito passes through the four seasons spring, summer, autumn and winter on each day of the year. I have lived here for several years and can recommend the offers mentioned hereafter at any season.
