Salsa« ist der kommerzielle Sammelname für Musikrichtungen (Son, Cumbia, Guaracha etc.), die in der Karibik und anderen Regionen Lateinamerikas entstanden und miteinander vermischt worden sind. Von nordamerikanischen Latino-Communities aus eroberte »Salsa« (»Soße«) den Rest der Welt. Dieser Sampler offeriert alles, was Latino-Musik zum weltweiten Boom gemacht hat, siehe Buena Vista Social Club: Fesselnde Rhythmen, schöne Melodien und zuweilen ein wenig Melancholie. Auf diesem Sampler ist u.a. Willie Colón vertreten, einer der Wegbereiter der Salsa-Musik. Für den Hörer entsteht spontan der Wunsch nach einem Karibik-Urlaub mitten im Winter. So gilt, was Alvaro del Castillo in »Nadie me la saque a bailar« singt: »Salsa, Alegria y Sabor«: »Salsa, Vergnügen und Stimmung«. Baila!

Con Alvaro de Castillo (cantante del Grupo Niche, fra i più osannati in Colombia), Paquito Baron e John Lozano dei Guayacan. Una irresistibile salsa-fiesta pura al 100%... Columbia best!
