La Charanga Habanera Band constitudes an authentic revolution. The origins go back to 1988, when a group of ten young men met at teh National School of Art and other Cuban conservatories in order to interpret Cuban music of the 40s and 50s. Thanks to the first two works (Hey, you loca and Pa' que se entere la Habana), La Charanga managed to turn into one of the groups most claimed in Cuba. Later, they toures the world, which gave them international recognition.
