Saint-Hill Colectivo expresses the cosmopolitan perspective of tooday's music. Bandleader, sax-player and singer Leandro Saint-Hill is supported in this project by other six exceptional musicians. Since the creation of the band in 2008, Leandro has been developing and materializing his own musical concept. This has led to an expressive gathering of different genres and styles. The groovy beats of funk are fused with Afro-Caribbean rhythms to create a dynamic musical landscape that is completed by the emotive elements of soul, the improvisation of jazz and by meaningful lyrics. The CD features guest appearances of Granny winners and nominees such as Omar Sosa, Arturo Martínez, Nené Vásquez and Tony Martínez. The result is an explosive symbiosis of funk/soul and Caribbean music spiked with a fair pinch of contemporary jazz and blues.
