Palmera - Authors: Lazare, Paul
Paul Lazare was born in Berlin in 1966. The combination of music and movement led him to Brazilian drumming. This was followed by training in Brazilian percussion and the founding of the samba band “Quinta Feira” in 1993.
The opportunity to conduct the band improvisationally fascinated him from the very beginning. Combining music with movement and thereby filling it with energy and power increased the fun and impact for him. Over time, the band developed more and more show elements. This makes them attractive not only for festivals, but also for corporate events.
Drumming on industrial objects has expanded Paul's range of expression. With each new industry he interprets musically, new challenges arise: what is required is creative thinking in other sound worlds and instruments.
The joy of leading and conducting large groups is effortlessly conveyed to participants in Paul's team-building drum workshops.
Long-term training for drummers has always been part of his work. Children's drum bands are the first stage of training. Weekly rehearsals are an important part of the work to keep the large percussion band running.
