Rhythmik und Dynamik finde ich gut. Zum Tanzen ok. Ansonsten ist diese Musik nicht so neu, nur weil ein paar Dissonanzen eingebaut sind. Ein bisschen mehr "Mache" als echte Inspiration. Aber mal als Abwechslung sicher nicht schlecht.

Wie der Titel schon sagt eine Cd mit Klassikern des Tango. Aber in modernem Gewand, d.h. die Titel sind alle etwas anders gespielt als man es zu hören gewohnt ist, bleiben meist in der gewohnten Instrumentierung, variieren das Thema aber meist sehr interressant und spannend. Dabei sind alle Stücke durchweg sehr gut tanzbar. Eine feine Wahl wenn man tanzbare Stücke sucht, die vertraut und gleichzeitig "frisch" klingen und man nicht beim "Neotango" landen möchte.

El Arranque are a group of 8 talented musics that are re-inventing the old way of playing tango. The result is a clear amazing sound that melts in your head and ultimately, melts the dance floor of any milonga. Any of the tracks is dancable on the dance floor (in these days this is quite diffcult to find)! Their re-interpretation of La Cumparsita is a hymn to tango. It's a must buy.
