Yuri Buenaventura, Fruko and more ...

Dear friends of Latin American music and culture!

New music, new winners, new photos! Pure entertainment for your weekend!

Like any other month, we raffled three CDs. If you want to participate, you only have to register for our newsletter and you have to have an account in our webshop. That doesn’t mean, that you have to buy anything, but owning such an account allows you to write CD-reviews, or you can write your personal wishlist, which you can also send to friends in case they are looking for a present for you.

The winners of May are:

Ramona Kuhl from Hamburg (Germany) Vinzenz Niedermann from Stafa (Switzerland) Massimo Manella from München (Germany)

Please write us a short mail and tell us, whether you prefer a tango-CD or a salsa-CD.

For “travelholics” we put a whole bunch of new - and from our point-of-view - extremely nice photos from all the travel destinations in our travel pages. Until now, you found one random photo switch on the introduction page of the travel pages. From now on, there are three different ones depending on the country. They are here:

Cuba: http://www.dym-travel.com/en_cuba.php Argentina: http://www.dym-travel.com/en_argentina.php Italia: http://www.dym-travel.com/en_italia.php

When you reload the page again and angain, you will find about 40 pictures for every country. Have fun clicking!

There are also new CDs:

An hour ago we received the new CD by Yuri Buenaventura and now it is already in our webshop. We have had to wait for quite a long time for his new production but it was worth it! “Vagabundo” is an excellent CD. 16 tracks, 57 min. long, but of course it is quality and not quantity that counts. 7 tracks are pure salsa every DJ is dreaming of (and dancers of course). But Buenaventura also surprises with quiet boleros, cha cha and even three tango tracks. We also appreciate the intelligent, sometimes critical lyrics - a nice change from the Latin-love-desperation-betrayal-topics. A great and colourful CD from the first to the last track!

Friends of Colombian salsa will enjoy the new CD by Fruko y sus Tesos. Salsa dura at its best! “Viva la rumba con Salsa” is a dancer’s delight for hot salsa nights. Fruko and his band have been playing for decades now and they still know how to move the dancefloor with high quality salsa.

If you like it a bit softer, you will also find something on our page of new entries: Various Colombian artist were united by Diego Galé (Grupo Galé) in order to produce a tribute to the great Cuban artist Polo Montañez who died far too early in a car accident some months ago. The “Guajiro natural” moved thousands of hearts with his biggest hit “Un montón de estrellas” (Porque yo en el amor soy un idiota...). He was extremely successful in Colombia, thus it is not surprising at all, that his collegues there love to play his music. But they do not only play the songs everybody knows, but also 5 titles which have not been released so far.
