1. new CD by Lydie Auvray 2. new CD: “Tango Crash”

Dear friends of Tango Argentino !!!

Today we would like to present two new tango releases, which differ quite a bit.

We start with “LYDIE AUVRAY”, a great accordion (!) player from the Normandy in France. Auvray’s classy performance characterised by a mix of jazz, chanson and Latin American rhytms has enchanted both music critics and lovers of good music for 25 years now. We can celebrate this anniversary with THE tango album “Tango Toujours”, including 14 different variations of tango, tango vals and tango milonga, which convincingly present the four-member-band as well as the string quartet ‘Indigo’.

The titles always breath tango, but each title also represents a small, emotional world of its own, which longingly dances into the soul of the listener, and which unfolds itself before disappearing again...

Our quest for INNOVATIVE TANGO made us discover a new challenging production! After Gotan Project, Bajofondo Tango Club, NOW there is:

TANGO CRASH

Tango Crash shows the flexibility of tango which allows the musicians to use musical currents in a world full of modern technology without losing effect or substance. The two musicians David Almada and Martin Iannoccone achieve an intensive music by means of jazz elements as well as electronic sounds, which dives deep into the tango tradition illuminating every aspect of it.

"A brandnew mixture of tango, jazz, contemporary and electronic music... an independent approach to the most interesting and complex music of their home country - the Argentinian Tango " (Joe Zawinul)
