New releases LATIN : Afro Cuban All Stars, Javier Garcia, Chayanne
New releases TANGO: Maria Eva Albistur, Nicolas Brizuela, Alberto Vila

Dear friends of Latin American music and culture!

Herewith we are presenting one of our shortest mail, but nevertheless at least the content is important ;)

1.1. AFRO CUBAN ALL STARS - Step Forward
With this CD Juan de Marcos is not just only stepping forward, together with the AFRO CUBAN ALL STARS he’s not doing less but giving us a milestone of development of cuban music.
This disc is the first one released by his own label DM Ahora ! And even musically it’s on his own, forget about this incessantly comparison with Buena Vista Social Club.
“Step Forward” introduces the best combination of classic Son- and modern Timba-music.

1.2. JAVIER GARCIA - 13
Javier Garcia is by far not superstitious. Quite the converse. The number “13” is bringing him back into business.
After his first release of 1997 (!) we herewith getting an unbelievable fresh and lively 2. album, that successfully combines almost every latin-rhythm: Salsa, Ska, Reggae, Flamenco and more.

This months’ LATIN-GROWER !!!

JAVIER GARCIA - 13

1.3. CHAYANNE - DESDE SIEMPRE
Chayanne is already a star in South-& Centralamerica but Europe and USA are still waiting to be convinced.
This might happen with his new CD.
He is always improving his kind of latin-pop with every new release and is no longer compared with Ricky Martin. These times are long gone.

So here he is we only have to disover him.

And if you like bachata don't forget the new CD from Aventura ...

TANGO

2.1. MARIA EVA ALBISTUR - AVATAR
This time we are starting our tangopage with the long-time missing favourite CD called “Avatar” of Maria Eva Albistur.
This one seems to be a WHO-IS-WHO of the NuevoTango-scene, with it’s features of Daniel Melingo, Fernando Samalea, Edu Nascimiento and of course Luciano Supervielle.
All that glitters is not Tango that’s for sure, but this CD of 2003 was one of the first NuevoTango-release that nurtured the scene with enough self-confidence to give us such brilliant achievements like “Bajofondo Tango Club, Tango ?”

MARIA EVA ALBISTUR - AVATAR

2.2. NICOLAS BRIZUELA - TANGO 12
Recently we were talking about Tango-Duos. To increase such reductions we are now introducing 2 CD’s of Tango- guitarists who are giving interesting impulses by only using their guitar and voice.

Especially Nicolas Brizuela is totally abstaining from his voice but has created a beautiful mixture between Bossa Nova- & Tango-Rhythms.

NICOLAS BRIZUELA - TANGO 12

2.3. ALBERTO LUNA - EL TROVERO
After a long period without any new releases we finally got a new disc of the famous lable “EL BANDONEON”.
Alberto Luna is as well concentrating on his guitar on this recording of 1927, but he is supporting the tango- and vals-titles by his voice. This is a fine CD with nostalgic charme

ALBERTO LUNA - EL TROVERO
